18th All India Panchayat Parishad conference was ingurated at MGRDPR University, Gadag by Shri H. K. Patil, Hon’ble minister for law and Tourism on 13.12.2025. The program was graced by Shri Subodh Kant Sahai President, All India Panchayat president and former union minister and many dignitaries. More than 1000 delegates participated from different parts of the country.

Constitution Reading Awareness Event & Tour Guide Training Program

On 07.07.2024, mahatma gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University Gadag launched the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Promotion Campaign, including a Constitution Reading Event, Vanamahotsava, and Tour Guide Training Programs. A project to plant 100,000 saplings at Sabarmati Ashram, Gadag, was also initiated.

78th Independence Day | MGRDPR University

78th Independence Day: Unique Celebration at the University The 78th Independence Day program was celebrated with grandeur at the Sabarmati Ashram premises of the university. The acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Suresh V. Nadagouda, hoisted the flag. Following that, more than 400 saplings were planted in the university premises with the participation of officials, teaching and non-teaching staff, and students.

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), & H.S.F.C, Bengaluru in association with Mahatma Gandhi Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University, Gadag organizing celebration of National Space Day - 2024 on 9th August, 2024 at Bharat Ratna Pandit Bhimsen Joshi Ranga Mandira, Opposite D.C. Office, Gadag. More than 30 scientists, Delegates, School teachers and 600 students across the gadag district are participating in this event.

The establishment of a separate Rural Development and Panchayat Raj University in Karnataka was envisioned by the pro-active Hon’ble RDPR Minister Sri. H. K. Patil. Accordingly, the proposal of establishment of the University has been approved by both the houses of Legislature in the Chief Minister’s Budget speech 2013-14.
